Tahiti is the largest island in French Polynesia and features plenty to keep you occupied during your visit here.  Water sports, recreation, adventure, and culture await you throughout the region.

To thoroughly enjoy Tahiti, you should be sure to include a visit to its beaches for water activities.  Water sports offerings include: scuba diving, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, snorkeling, surfing.  While enjoying the water, don’t miss out on the marine life in the region, including: sea turtles, sharks, dolphins, humpback whales and over 500 species of fish.  If you prefer a more leisurely activity, Tahiti has both black and white sand beaches for your enjoyment. 

Other recreational offerings in Tahiti include: golf, ecotourism, horseback riding, flightseeing, 4 x 4 tours, hiking, climbing, canyoning, deep see fishing, and the opportunity to feed sharks and rays.

There is a daily market that offers a glimpse into Tahitian life and there are also many museums worth looking into .  The Musee de Tahiti et des Iles features exhibits on geography, history, culture, and more, including some outdoor exhibits.
